Police have launched an appeal for information after a teenage girl was reportedly approached by two men and sexually assaulted in Exmouth. The incident occurred in the Gipsy Lane area on Thursday, between 4pm and 5.30pm.
Victim Supported by Specialist Officers
The victim is being supported by specially trained officers as detectives from Devon and Cornwall Police carry out their enquiries. The force has urged anyone with relevant information or dashcam footage to come forward.
A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: 'Detectives investigating a report of sexual assault in Exmouth are appealing for anyone with information to come forward. We received a report of a sexual assault against a teenage girl in the area of Gipsy Lane, Exmouth, on the afternoon of Thursday 7 May, with the incident taking place between 4pm and 5.30pm. It was reported two males approached the victim and sexually assaulted her. She is being supported by specially trained officers while enquiries are being carried out.'
