Sarah Ferguson Faces Challenge Staying Away From Eugenie's Baby
Sarah Ferguson to Stay Away From Eugenie's Baby

Sarah Ferguson is set to become a grandmother once again, but she will reportedly find it "very hard" to stay away from her new grandchild. The former Duchess of York, 66, is expected to keep more distance from Princess Eugenie's third baby compared to her other grandchildren, including Princess Beatrice's two children. This shift comes amid ongoing scrutiny over Ferguson and her former husband Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor's ties to convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein.

Family Dynamics Shift

Princess Eugenie, 36, announced her pregnancy last week through Buckingham Palace, a move seen as a sign of the royal family's continued support for her, unlike her parents. Royal editor Emily Nash of HELLO Magazine noted: "While their grandmother and grandfather have spent plenty of time with August and Ernest, they are likely to keep more of a distance this time around, although I'm sure Sarah will find it very hard to stay away from a new grandchild."

Scrutiny and Controversy

Ferguson has largely stayed out of the public spotlight in recent months due to controversies surrounding her and her ex-husband's past connections to Epstein, whom she referred to as "a supreme friend" in emails. Nash added: "This baby will be born into very different family dynamics to those experienced by his or her older siblings." Despite this, Ferguson has been an active and loving grandmother to Beatrice and Eugenie's children.

Nash praised King Charles's reaction to the news, saying: "The King's warm words show that he still has a great deal of affection for Eugenie and that he has not ostracized his nieces. We might well start seeing them at family gatherings again." Buckingham Palace officially announced Eugenie's pregnancy on May 4.
