South Wales Police are investigating after a group of youths were reportedly seen causing anti-social behaviour across Swansea city centre on Friday evening. Reports allege the teenagers entered a cinema and bowling alley without paying, threw food over a city centre taxi and were involved in the theft of a scooter.
Incidents at Parc Tawe and City Centre
Officers received reports of the group walking through the city centre and Parc Tawe retail park. Footage seen by WalesOnline shows the group filming themselves on TikTok live attempting to squirt tomato sauce bottles at passers-by on the same evening.
Police Investigation and Appeal
A statement from South Wales Police said: "Officers received three reports of anti-social behaviour involving a group of youths with reported offences having taken place in Swansea city centre on the evening of Friday October 16."
Inspector Stephen Pritchard said: "Officers are currently investigating these reports and working to identify the suspects. This behaviour will not be tolerated in our city. Anyone with information about the identity of the youths involved, or who may have footage of the alleged incidents, is asked to contact police via 101, quoting 2600339721."
Recurring Issue in Swansea
This is not the first time South Wales Police has investigated such incidents in Swansea city centre. Anti-social behaviour has been a recurring issue in recent years, with several section 35 dispersal orders put in place. In April, traders spoke of young people causing trouble and nuisance for shoppers and businesses.
