Seattle Taproom Employee Shot Dead, Suspect Arrested

An employee at a Seattle taproom was discovered dead on the floor by a coworker arriving to open the bar on Saturday morning. The victim has been identified by the owners of The Growler Guys as Quusaa 'Q' Margarsa, a man in his early twenties who grew up in North Seattle.

On Monday, Seattle police announced the arrest of a 20-year-old man suspected of shooting Margarsa, according to the Seattle Times. The suspect, whose identity has not been released, was booked into King County Jail on suspicion of murder. A judge set his bail at $2 million on Tuesday. It remains unclear how police identified the suspect or whether he had any connection to Margarsa.

Kelly Dole, an owner of The Growler Guys, shared that he knew Margarsa from when he attended Nathan Hale High School with Dole's son. 'He was so buoyant and cheerful to be around,' Dole said. Carol Dole, the other owner, described Margarsa as warm, intelligent, and artistic, adding that he had a 'bright future.' 'He was a valued part of this local community and of this business,' Kelly Dole said. 'We're really going to miss him.'

The description states, 'With the devastating loss of Quusaa 'Q' Margarsa, we are raising funds to assist with funeral and memorial expenses. Any donation amount is greatly appreciated in support of Q's family during this tragic time. Thank you so much.'
