Police are searching for a woman following an attempted child abduction at an east London Tube station. A seven-year-old girl was approached by a woman at West Ham Underground station at around 8.30pm on Thursday, October 15.
Incident details
British Transport Police said the woman told the young girl, who was accompanied by her father, that she wanted to “grab” her, before attempting to hold her hand. The father and daughter then moved away from the woman, who told bystanders that the man – the girl’s father – was kidnapping the girl. The woman then fled the station.
