An 18-year-old man suffered life-changing injuries after being stabbed at a Halloween party in Plaistow, east London, on Wednesday evening.
A group of eight to ten masked men stormed the party at a community centre on James Close in Plaistow, Newham, and attacked the victim at around 7.45pm, the Metropolitan Police said.
Attack at Community Centre
Police and paramedics were called to the scene, where the man was found with multiple stab wounds to his torso and arms. He was taken to hospital in a critical condition but is now stable. His injuries are believed to be life-changing, the force said.
Scotland Yard has launched an attempted murder investigation, but no arrests have been made so far. Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.
Appeal for Witnesses
Detective Inspector Sam Lockstone, who is leading the investigation, said: "We are grateful to those who have come forward so far.
"However, there were a lot of young people at the party who fled when the stabbing happened, and it is really important that they contact police and offer any information they can to help with our enquiries.
"The victim was subject to a violent attack, and we want to know if you have any video footage taken during or after the party or witnessed anything that could help with our investigation."
Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101, quoting CAD 6525/28OCT26. Information can also be passed anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or through its website.
