Police Confirm 14 TRNSMT Arrests Over Assault and Drugs

Police Scotland has confirmed that 14 people were arrested during the TRNSMT music festival in Glasgow Green over the weekend of June 19-21, 2026. Of those arrested, eight are being reported to the Procurator Fiscal, while six received recorded police warnings. The festival drew tens of thousands of fans to see acts including Lewis Capaldi and Kasabian.

Arrests by Day

On Friday, June 19, officers arrested two teenagers aged 16 and 17 in connection with drug offences. Two other 16-year-old boys were arrested for assault. A 42-year-old man was arrested for breaching an air navigation order, and a 38-year-old man was arrested for an alleged road traffic offence.

Saturday saw three male youths arrested and charged with breach of the peace. Two more people were arrested after a disturbance and issued recorded police warnings. Another six were charged with assault and breach of the peace offences.

Sunday Incidents

On Sunday, June 21, police received reports of nine assaults. A 43-year-old man was arrested and charged, due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court. Two women were also charged in connection with the assaults and will be reported to the Procurator Fiscal.

Separate Attack on Teenager

In a separate incident on Friday evening, a 17-year-old boy was attacked by a mob of around 20 youths near the main stage. He suffered a broken eye socket, fractured cheekbone, and broken nose. His friend also sustained a broken nose and cheekbone. The teen's mother told the Daily Record: "I was horrified when I saw the state of his face. He was bloodied and had two black eyes. The doctor said one more blow could have been fatal."

Police Scotland said enquiries into the attack are ongoing. A DF Concerts spokesperson stated: "We are aware of an incident that took place on Friday 19th June and are supporting Police Scotland with their investigation."
