Pipe Bomb Threats Sent to Northern Ireland Schools, Pupils Told to Stay Indoors
Pipe Bomb Threats Sent to NI Schools, Pupils Stay Indoors

A chilling email sent to multiple schools and businesses in Northern Ireland has warned that pipe bombs were placed "inside and outside" their premises. The menacing communication claimed the sender would travel to every targeted school in the Antrim area "armed with multiple guns and knives to attack and hurt as many people as possible." The sender ominously declared, "Antrim will remember this day."

School Response and Precautionary Measures

In a statement issued to parents via social media, St Benedict’s College in Randalstown confirmed the threat but noted it was "not being treated as a serious threat." However, the school emphasized that the matter is "being addressed at a senior level" and that they will "continue to follow all guidance provided." As a precautionary measure, school doors will remain locked throughout the day, and pupils have been instructed to remain indoors until further guidance from the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI).

Safety First

The statement further assured parents: "The safety and wellbeing of our students and staff remains our highest priority. We will keep parents informed and will notify you immediately should the situation change." Authorities are investigating the source of the email, and updates are expected as the situation develops.
