Northumbria Police have launched a public appeal to identify two men following a violent disturbance in the heart of Newcastle upon Tyne.
The incident, which involved a group of individuals, occurred on Grainger Street at approximately 2:15 am on Sunday, 17th March. Authorities are treating the altercation as a serious matter and are urging witnesses to come forward.
In a bid to progress the investigation, detectives have released clear CCTV images of two individuals they believe hold vital information about the event.
A spokesperson for Northumbria Police stated: "We are appealing for the public’s assistance to help identify these two men as we believe they could have information that will aid our ongoing enquiries into this incident."
Members of the public are strongly advised not to approach the individuals but to contact the authorities immediately. Information can be passed directly to Northumbria Police using the reference number 432M170324 or anonymously through the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
