A family has been plunged into a dual nightmare following a police shooting and the subsequent disappearance of a young boy in Nottinghamshire.
The incident unfolded on Wednesday when armed officers were called to a property on Stanhope Gardens in the Bulwell area of Nottingham. The police operation resulted in the fatal shooting of 31-year-old Dezi Freeman.
In a devastating twist, Mr. Freeman's ten-year-old son, Rambo Freeman, has been reported missing and is now the subject of an urgent search. The child was last seen on Tuesday, September 17th, the day before the police shooting occurred.
Nottinghamshire Police have confirmed they are leading the investigation into both the shooting and the boy's disappearance. The force has made a mandatory referral to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC), which is standard procedure in such incidents.
Rambo is described as a white male, approximately 4'5" tall, of slim build, with short light brown hair. His family and authorities are deeply concerned for his welfare and are urging anyone with information to come forward immediately.
A family member took to social media, making a heartfelt plea: "Have you seen my nephew Rambo Freeman? He’s been missing since yesterday. Please if anyone knows anything contact the police."
This tragic case has left a community in shock, as they await answers regarding the police action and desperately hope for the safe return of the young boy.
