Police have launched a manhunt for a prisoner who escaped from a medical facility in south London, warning that he could pose a risk to himself and the public.

Anthony Lloyd, 38, was last seen at around 4.10pm on Friday, October 23, after forcing his way out of the unit in Lewisham. He was spotted heading in the direction of Catford, but officers believe he could now be anywhere in London.

Police Urge Public to Call 999

Detective Superintendent Melanie Pressley, who is leading the search, said police were carrying out "various significant enquiries" to locate Lloyd and return him to custody.

She said: "We are concerned he poses a risk both to himself and the public, and would urge anyone who sees him to call 999 immediately. Do not approach him."

Lloyd is described as white, around 5ft 8in tall and of medium build, with short dark hair. He was last seen wearing a grey-blue T-shirt, black tracksuit bottoms and white trainers.

Police have said Lloyd also has links to Surrey, Sussex, Thames Valley, Hampshire, Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and Merseyside.

Det Supt Pressley added: "If you have any information, however small, that could help us locate Lloyd, please get in touch with police as a matter of urgency."
