
Greater Manchester Police have launched an urgent public appeal for information following a violent robbery and assault on an 82-year-old man in broad daylight.
The disturbing incident occurred on Tuesday, 18 June, at approximately 2:45 PM. The elderly victim was approached and assaulted by an unknown male suspect on Kenyon Lane in the Manchester area. During the attack, the offender callously stole the victim's bank card.
In a statement released to the public, Greater Manchester Police confirmed the victim was physically attacked during the robbery. The force has now issued a clear CCTV image of a man they urgently wish to speak to in connection with the investigation.
Appeal for Witnesses
Detectives are actively pursuing all lines of enquiry but are heavily reliant on information from the public. They are urging anyone who was in the Kenyon Lane area around the time of the incident, or who recognises the individual in the released photograph, to come forward immediately.
Officers are particularly interested in speaking with any motorists who may have been driving in the vicinity and could have captured crucial dashcam footage of the suspect or the events leading up to the assault.
