Man charged with murder of Victoria Adams in Hammersmith

A man has been formally charged in connection with the death of a woman in West London, in a case that has sent shockwaves through the local community.

Apapale Adoum, 35, of no fixed address, appeared at Uxbridge Magistrates' Court on Saturday, 29 June, accused of murdering 43-year-old Victoria Adams. The victim's body was discovered at a residential address on Greyhound Road in Hammersmith on Thursday, 27 June.

The Metropolitan Police were called to the scene at approximately 13:20 BST following concerns for the welfare of a resident. Despite the efforts of emergency services, Ms. Adams was pronounced dead at the location.

Adoum was arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder and subsequently charged following police questioning. The court has remanded him in custody, and he is scheduled to appear at the Old Bailey on Tuesday, 2 July.

Detectives from the Specialist Crime Command are leading the investigation and continue to appeal for any witnesses or individuals with information to come forward. A post-mortem examination is due to be held to establish the exact cause of Ms. Adams's death.
