Essa Suleiman, a 45-year-old man, has been charged with attempted murder following a stabbing incident in Golders Green, north London, according to the Metropolitan Police. The attack left two Jewish men injured, with one victim now discharged from hospital and the other in a stable condition.

Details of the Incident

Police were called to Highfield Avenue just after 11am on Wednesday after reports of a stabbing. Two Jewish men, identified as Shloime Rand, 34, and Moshe Ben Baila, 76 (also known locally as Moshe Shine), were found with stab wounds and taken to hospital. Suleiman was arrested at the scene and has since been charged with two counts of attempted murder and one count of possession of a bladed article in a public place.

Court Appearance and Police Statement

Suleiman appeared at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Friday. Commander Helen Flanagan, head of counter-terrorism policing for London, stated: 'Our thoughts remain with the victims involved and specialist officers continue to provide them with support as their recovery continues. We are determined to get justice for the victims and now that a person has been charged, I would urge everyone to avoid any further speculation in relation to this case so that justice can run its course.'
