A prominent American MAGA influencer has admitted to assaulting a woman at a London Underground station following what prosecutors described as a dispute over a pushchair.
Incident at Bond Street Station
Melissa Rein Lively, 40, pleaded guilty to grabbing a woman's hair in a 'forceful manner' at Bond Street Underground station last October. The altercation allegedly began after her boyfriend accidentally stumbled into a pushchair carrying a child.
The court heard that the victim was left shaken by the attack, which occurred in a busy station concourse. Lively, known for her online presence supporting former President Donald Trump, was arrested shortly after the incident.
Legal Proceedings
During the hearing, Lively's legal team argued that the incident was out of character and that she had shown genuine remorse. The prosecution, however, emphasized the unprovoked nature of the assault and the vulnerability of the victim.
The case has drawn significant media attention due to Lively's status as a political influencer. She is due to be sentenced next month and faces a possible jail term.
