Long delays are affecting the M4 in south Wales on Tuesday afternoon following a police incident. Police are at the scene at Junction 35, and a section of the motorway is closed in both directions.
Road closure details
South Wales Police confirmed the closure: "We're at the scene of an incident on the M4 at Junction 36, Sarn. The road is currently closed in both directions between Junction 35 for Pencoed, and Junction 36 for Sarn. Please avoid the area and use alternative routes where possible. Thank you for your patience."
According to Traffic Wales, both sides of the M4 are shut between Junction 35 at Pencoed and Junction 37 at Pyle.
