A person is reported missing in the UK every 90 seconds, and an estimated 10,000 people have been missing for longer than one year. Missing People is a charity that focuses on supporting families and friends of missing people. It is estimated that there are nearly 330,000 reported missing incidents every year, with police data "likely to be a significant underestimate".
Missing People has a list of 28 people that are currently missing in Wales. The list includes two 15-year-olds, with one last seen in 2001 and the other missing since 2002. The oldest person currently on the list is a 78-year-old man who has been missing since 2022.
