Golders Green Stabbing: Two Jewish People Attacked, Suspect Arrested
A man has been arrested after an alleged knife attack in Golders Green, north London, which saw two people stabbed in what was described as an assault on 'Jewish members of the public'. According to a local neighbourhood watch group, the suspect was tasered by police.
The incident occurred on Golders Green Road, where a male suspect was reportedly seen running along the street armed with a knife and attempting to stab Jewish members of the public. The volunteer Jewish neighbourhood watch group Shomrim London responded immediately and detained the suspect until police arrived. Officers then deployed a taser to subdue the individual.
Shomrim London issued a statement confirming the sequence of events: 'Knife Attack on Golders Green Road – Suspect Detained by Shomrim and Arrested. One male was seen running along Golders Green Road armed with a knife and attempting to stab Jewish members of the public. Shomrim responded immediately and detained the suspect. Police attended and deployed a taser. Two victims have been stabbed and are being treated by Hatzola.'
The victims, both described as Jewish members of the public, are receiving medical attention from Hatzola, a Jewish volunteer emergency medical service. The suspect is now in police custody. Authorities have not yet released further details regarding the motives or the condition of the victims. The incident has stirred concerns within the local community, which has a significant Jewish population, and police are expected to increase patrols in the area.
