Garda Hunt For Man After Woman Found Dead In UK Hotel

Irish police, the Gardaí, have launched an urgent cross-border appeal for help in locating a man following the tragic discovery of a woman's body at a luxury hotel in England.

The investigation, a major collaboration between An Garda Síochána and UK police forces, began after the body of a woman in her 20s was found at the Metropole Hotel in Brighton, Sussex, on Tuesday morning.

International Manhunt Underway

Gardaí are urgently seeking to question Nassar Ali, 26, in connection with the incident. Authorities have emphasised that Mr. Ali, who is known to have connections in both Ireland and the UK, may have travelled between the two countries.

In a statement, a Garda spokesperson said: "We are appealing to Nassar Ali to make contact with us. We are also appealing to anyone who may have knowledge of his whereabouts to contact us. We are particularly interested in any road users who may have camera footage from the M1, M6, or M40 motorways.”

A Coordinated Response

The case highlights the close operational ties between British and Irish law enforcement. Sussex Police, who are leading the investigation on the ground in England, confirmed they were called to the hotel where the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

While the identity of the woman has not been formally released, she is understood to be known to the wanted man. A post-mortem examination is due to be carried out to establish the exact cause of her death.

This developing story underscores the seamless cooperation between UK and Irish authorities in tackling serious crime and serves as a sobering reminder of its cross-border nature.
