Armed Police Close Hertfordshire Road, Two Hospitalised

Armed police have shut down a road in Hertfordshire following a serious incident that left two people with grievous bodily harm (GBH) injuries. Emergency services rushed to the scene on Burford Street shortly after 8:40 PM on Monday, May 25.

Police Response

Local officers and specialist resources from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Armed Response Unit attended an address in the area. Social media footage showed at least nine emergency vehicles lined up on the street, prompting residents to come out of their homes to see what was happening.

Injuries and Hospitalisation

It is understood that an altercation broke out, resulting in two individuals sustaining GBH-level injuries. The East of England Ambulance Service transported the victims to hospital for treatment.
