Ex-Chick-fil-A Employee Charged with Stealing $80K via Fake Mac and Cheese Refunds
Ex-Chick-fil-A Employee Charged with $80K Theft

A former employee of a Texas Chick-fil-A restaurant is facing multiple felony charges after allegedly stealing over $80,000 by issuing hundreds of fraudulent refunds for mac and cheese trays to his personal credit cards. Keyshun Jones, who had been terminated from his position at a Grapevine location, reportedly initiated the scheme in November 2025, according to Fox 4.

Details of the Alleged Scheme

The restaurant's owner reported the theft to police after discovering discrepancies in the financial records. Surveillance footage reviewed by investigators showed Jones, who had been fired approximately one month earlier, standing unattended behind the counter. At the register, he allegedly created around 800 fake orders for macaroni and cheese trays and immediately issued refunds for those transactions to his own credit cards. Investigators estimate the total loss exceeded $80,000.

Investigation and Arrest

Following a five-month investigation, officers attempted to locate Jones multiple times, but he allegedly evaded arrest. He was ultimately taken into custody on April 17, 2026, with assistance from the Texas Attorney General’s Fugitive Task Force and the Fort Worth Police Department. Jones now faces several felony charges, including property theft, money laundering, and evading arrest.
