Two people who died in a plane crash in Wales have been named as Ketan Swali, 59, and Sheetal Swali, 55.
Crash details
North Wales Police were informed on Friday that a light aircraft which had departed from an airfield in England failed to reach Caernarfon airport. A major air and ground search operation ensued, and the plane was found on Friday afternoon in an isolated area near Trawsfynydd close to Blaenau Ffestiniog in Gwynedd.
Both people onboard the aircraft were confirmed dead at the scene.
Investigation and inquest
An inquest into their deaths will be opened in Caernarfon on Wednesday. Meanwhile, the Air Accidents Investigation Branch (AAIB) is continuing its inquiries into the crash.
Chief superintendent Owain Llewellyn of North Wales Police said: "Our thoughts are with the families and friends of those involved in this tragic incident. We will support the AAIB with their investigation to ensure the circumstances leading to this incident are fully understood. This has been a challenging search operation and I am grateful to all of the agencies involved for their professionalism and dedication."
