Teenage Nose Job Dispute Turns Violent

A domestic dispute in eastern Thailand turned violent when an 18-year-old girl allegedly attacked her boyfriend with a kitchen knife after he touched her recently operated-on nose.

Police in Conburi were called to the scene last week following reports of an assault. The incident began as a heated argument between the couple, both aged 18, before escalating dramatically.

The Moment Things Escalated

During the altercation, the young man touched his girlfriend's nose, which she had recently had surgically altered. The woman reported hearing a "loud pop" from inside her nose, leaving her in significant pain.

Fearing that her expensive cosmetic surgery had been ruined and her face disfigured, she allegedly grabbed a kitchen knife and struck him across the head.

Emergency services were summoned to the couple's home after the woman called for help. Upon arrival, they discovered a shocking scene: the woman was straddling her boyfriend while pressing a cloth to his bleeding head.

Aftermath and Hospital Visit

The victim was found with a deep four-inch cut across his scalp and was bleeding heavily. Paramedics rushed him to Laem Chabang hospital for emergency treatment.

In a surprising turn of events, the emotional girlfriend accompanied him to the hospital, gripping him tightly throughout the journey. The pair sat side-by-side during the entire trip, and she remained with him even as he was taken into the operating room to have his wound stitched up.

Authorities noted that the woman is known for frequently changing her appearance. She allegedly told police that she had "lost control" when she believed her nose job had been ruined.

The teenager explained: "While fighting we were shoving each other and I felt him touch my nose. I heard a loud flicking sound so I thought it had been disfigured. I grabbed a knife and slashed him once, and he did not try to avoid me, as if accepting his guilt. I was furious because I was in pain but I apologised to him after I calmed down."

Despite the serious injury requiring hospital treatment, the young man declined to press charges against his girlfriend. A spokesperson for Laem Chabang Police confirmed they "cannot arrest the girlfriend because the victim himself has refused to file a complaint against her."
