Stephen Bear, the disgraced reality TV personality, has been sentenced to 16 months' immediate imprisonment at Chelmsford Crown Court for breaching a restraining order. The order was issued alongside his 2023 conviction for secretly recording and sharing a sex tape featuring Georgia Harrison.

The Crown Prosecution Service confirmed that the Celebrity Big Brother star violated the order by posting about Harrison on social media. Judge Morgan, during sentencing, stated: "You know what the terms of the order was. You understood the consequences and over a prolonged period you deliberately breached the court order. The sentence I impose must be immediate."

The court heard that Bear received a significant number of notifications and online comments following Harrison's appearance on a high-profile podcast in July 2025, where the case was discussed. Ms Deri Molyneux, representing Bear, said: "In July 2025 after the appearance on a high-profile podcast where proceedings were discussed he received a significant number of notifications and online comments." She added that he was facing personal difficulties at the time, presented as a mitigating circumstance. Bear became emotional in the dock when this was mentioned.
Victim Impact Statement
A victim personal statement from Georgia Harrison was read in court, detailing the "profound impact" of Bear's actions. The statement, delivered by Ms Kutner, said: "It causes me significant distress, anxiety and fear during my pregnancy which would make me worry about the baby. He's attempted to control the narrative around my life again. His online presence makes me petrified as I perceive him to be angry." She characterised Bear as "relentless with the abuse".
Bear's Reaction and Aftermath
Bear arrived at court with his pregnant wife Miami, telling onlookers "wish me luck, guys". The pair announced in March they are expecting their first child. While he appeared tearful earlier, he showed no visible reaction when the sentence was delivered and was escorted to the cells. His wife and mother, in the public gallery, were visibly emotional.
Following the sentencing, Harrison praised Essex Police, stating: "Essex Police took me seriously when so many women in my position are overlooked. They treated this as the serious crime it is – not a celebrity story. It is a real offence against a real person." She added: "They built the case properly, they stayed with it, and when the order was breached, they acted instead of shrugging. From the messages I get every day, I know how rare that still is." She concluded: "If every force treated this the way Essex Police did, thousands of women would feel safer today."
