The mother of Kansas City Chiefs star Rashee Rice's two children has levelled shocking allegations of domestic violence against the NFL player in a detailed and disturbing social media post.
Graphic Allegations Surface on Social Media
Dacoda Nichole Jones uploaded a series of 14 photographs and a lengthy statement to Instagram on Wednesday afternoon. The images depicted visible cuts and bruises on her body, alongside pictures of a trashed home and ripped clothing. While she did not explicitly name the 25-year-old Super Bowl-winning wide receiver, the context clearly pointed to Rice.
In her post, which began with a content warning about domestic violence, Jones wrote: "I'm so tired of keeping quiet I'm so tired of protecting his image. I've been through too much in a span of 8 years and I've had ENOUGH!" She described a pattern of alleged abuse, controlling behaviour, and infidelity spanning years.
Jones claimed there had been "multiple instances" of physical altercations, including an alleged incident while she was pregnant. She also accused Rice of destroying her personal property, locking her outside in cold weather, and failing to provide adequate support for their children since their breakup several months ago.
Club and League Launch Investigation
The Kansas City Chiefs organisation responded swiftly to the allegations. In a statement released on Wednesday night and reported by The Athletic, the team confirmed: "The club is aware of the allegations on social media and is in communication with the National Football League. We have no further comment at this time."
This controversy adds to a turbulent period for Rice, who is currently serving a suspension. In July 2025, he was sentenced to 30 days in jail and five years' probation for his role in a multi-car crash on a Dallas highway in May 2024. He pleaded guilty to two felony charges and was ordered to pay over $115,000 in restitution to victims.
The NFL had already suspended Rice for the first six games of the 2025 season following the crash incident. According to local reports, Jones has not yet filed a formal police report regarding the domestic violence allegations as of early Thursday evening.
Teammate Support and a Troubled Timeline
Jones's post garnered public support from partners of other NFL players, including Chariah Gordon, partner of Rice's former Chiefs teammate Mecole Hardman. The allegations present a significant challenge for the Chiefs, for whom Rice has been a key part of their offensive rebuild.
Notably, star teammate Travis Kelce had previously offered strong public support to Rice following the Dallas crash. As Rice neared his return from his league suspension, Kelce stated: "Rashee is such a good dude... He's one of my favorite people, one of the favorite teammates I've ever had." Kelce and other teammates even wore "Free 4" shirts in a show of solidarity during Rice's absence.
Rice, who is on a $6.5 million contract with the Chiefs, had publicly apologised for the crash, stating: "I am profoundly sorry for the physical damages to person and property. I fully apologize for the harm I caused to innocent drivers and their families." The new allegations, however, threaten to derail his career rehabilitation further as both the team and the league assess the situation.
