A British mother of three was reportedly stabbed to death in her home in Alhaurín el Grande, near Málaga, Spain, on Saturday morning. The victim has been identified as Victoria Hart, 33, originally from the West Midlands. Emergency services were called to the scene at around 11:40 am after neighbours heard screams for help.
One local entered the property and found Victoria lying in a pool of blood on the kitchen floor, with a kitchen knife nearby. Her three children—an 11-year-old boy and twin girls aged seven—had run out of the home crying for help. Despite the efforts of paramedics, Victoria was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police arrested a suspect shortly after the incident, believed to be her ex-partner. The Civil Guard in Málaga confirmed that the arrested man is being investigated as the alleged killer. An autopsy is scheduled to take place, and the suspect is expected to appear in court, where a judge is likely to remand him in custody pending further investigation.
Victoria ran her own hairdressing and beauty salon from the home where she was killed. Neighbours reported that she and her partner had been going through a difficult separation in recent months. The local town council declared Monday an official day of mourning, condemning the act as gender-based violence.
Tributes have been pouring in on social media, with friends describing Victoria as a “perfect” mother and a “beautiful person.” One friend wrote, “There’s not many people as perfect as Victoria Hart.” The community has expressed deep shock and sympathy for her family.
