Two Charged in Sheffield Fatal Shooting of Innocent Bystander

Two individuals have been charged in relation to the fatal shooting of Shanice Brookes, a 30-year-old mother, outside a bar in Sheffield city centre on the bank holiday Monday. Jemele Rhone, 30, faces a murder charge, while Deiryen Dyce, 32, is accused of assisting an offender, possession of ammunition, and drug-related offences. Both are scheduled to appear before Sheffield Magistrates’ Court on Friday.

Police have described Ms Brookes as an “entirely innocent bystander” who was caught in the crossfire. Her death has left her family, including her young son, devastated. South Yorkshire Police continue to appeal for witnesses and urge anyone with information to come forward as the investigation proceeds.
