British Transport Police have launched an urgent appeal for information after a 15-year-old girl was seriously sexually assaulted on a train to London Victoria.
Incident details
The assault took place at around 15.10pm on Wednesday. The man responsible left the train at Gatwick Airport station after the attack.
Police have released a CCTV image of a man they believe may have information that could assist their enquiries.
Appeal for witnesses
Detective Inspector Ciaran May said: “We’re launching an urgent appeal following a very serious incident on board a train this afternoon. I’d urge anyone who recognises the man in the photo to get in touch with us as soon as possible.
