Mother named in triple murder as suspect flees UK

Zandile Tshuma, a 42-year-old mother, has been named as one of three victims found dead at a £1.3 million home in Great Denham, Bedfordshire, on July 6. Police believe the suspect, who is known to the family, has fled the United Kingdom.

Discovery at the Home

Officers forced entry into the property on Carnoustie Drive after concerns that the family had not been seen for several days. Inside, they discovered the bodies of Mrs Tshuma and her two children. A triple murder investigation has been launched.

Neighbours described Mrs Tshuma as a "gracious mother." The family's home, a detached four-bedroom house with a swimming pool, was purchased by her husband, Ndodana Mkhanyisi Tshuma, who goes by the name Mark, two years ago for £1.3 million. Mr Tshuma, a computing informatics graduate from the University of Plymouth, and his wife were originally from Zimbabwe, while the children were born in the UK.

Police Appeal

Bedfordshire Police Assistant Chief Constable John Murphy said: "This is a deeply distressing incident in which a mother and her two children are believed to have been murdered. Our thoughts are first and foremost with all those affected. We recognise that this will cause concern in the local community and beyond."

He added: "As a result of inquiries undertaken so far, we have identified a suspect, who was known to all three victims, and who we believe has since left the country. While there is nothing to suggest there is any wider risk to the public, we will be increasing the police presence in and around the area to support the investigation and provide reassurance to residents."

Police are urging anyone with information, particularly about suspicious activity on Friday and Saturday, to come forward. They have asked the public to respect the victims' privacy and avoid speculation.

Community Reaction

A woman who laid flowers outside the family home said: "We are really sorry to lose her, she was such a gracious mother." A family friend, whose daughter was best friends with the youngest victim, described the suspected murders as "incomprehensible" and said of the children: "Both of them - they were amazing."
