Witness Accounts

Residents described harrowing scenes. One witness heard the collision and ran to help, finding a male trapped under a car. The male was freed and lay injured in the road, attended by neighbours. The car then drove off in pursuit of another male, who is feared to have been dragged under the vehicle for a long distance and died from his injuries. A couple who heard the incident said it was “very raw” and “hugely shocking,” noting it occurred in the middle of the day.
