British Toddler Dies After Falling from Cyprus Hotel Window
A three-year-old British boy has tragically died after falling from a fourth-floor hotel corridor window while playing with his father during a family holiday in Cyprus. The incident occurred near Chloraka on Sunday evening, just one day after the family arrived for their summer break.
The boy's 37-year-old father was arrested following the fall. Emergency services rushed the child to Paphos General Hospital, but he succumbed to his injuries. Police were alerted at approximately 6:40pm on Sunday.
Father Arrested on Multiple Charges
The father was reportedly arrested on suspicion of causing death by a reckless, negligent or dangerous act, neglect of duty as the head of a family, and failing in his responsibility as a person having care of another, according to the Daily Star. He appeared before the court on Monday morning.
The family's five-year-old daughter was also on the holiday. It is understood the boy fell through an open corridor window at the hotel.

Police Appeal for Witnesses
Sergeant Paul Clark said: "This is a deeply tragic incident and our thoughts are with the young girl's loved ones at this unimaginably difficult time. The circumstances are being investigated and we would ask people not to speculate on social media. I would also ask the privacy of the family is respected as they come to terms with what has happened."
Police are urging any witnesses or motorists in the area at the time who may have dashcam footage to come forward, quoting incident 424 of 12 July.
