Wizz Air Relaunches Fixed-Price Flight Subscription Service for UK Travellers
Wizz Air Relaunches Fixed-Price Flight Subscription Service

Airfare costs are notoriously volatile, often swinging dramatically with seasonal demand and last-minute booking pressures. However, budget carrier Wizz Air has provided a potential solution by relaunching its innovative subscription service, designed to shield travellers from these unpredictable price hikes.

Introducing the WIZZ Multipass

The airline has reopened sales for its WIZZ Multipass offer, a unique service that enables customers to secure a fixed monthly flight price. This price remains constant regardless of seasonality or surges in last-minute demand, offering a significant departure from the traditional booking model.

How the Subscription Works

The subscription is available for all international routes to and from the United Kingdom. Travellers pay a one-time fee for the first month, followed by a fixed monthly amount for the remaining eleven months. This structure allows passengers to travel on a set budget throughout the entire year, completely insulated from the usual market fluctuations.

Each month, subscription holders can select one confirmed one-way or return flight. A key condition is that the booking must be made at least five days before the departure date. This makes the service particularly well-suited for organised travellers who plan ahead and fly regularly on Wizz Air's selected routes.

Flexible Add-Ons and Pricing

Passengers are not limited to just the base fare. The subscription includes the option to add Wizz Priority to their ticket, which provides two cabin bags and priority boarding. Additionally, travellers can opt for a 20kg checked bag if needed.

The pricing structure is clearly defined:

  • Single Journey Plan: Costs £152 for the first month, then £55 per month for the following eleven months. Adding Wizz Priority is £30, and a 20kg checked bag costs £38.
  • Return Journey Plan: Priced at £303 for the initial month, then £110 per month thereafter. Under this plan, Wizz Priority is £59, and the 20kg checked baggage add-on is £76.

Giving Control Back to Travellers

Silvia Mosquera Gonzalez, Commercial Officer at Wizz Air, emphasised how the WIZZ Multipass empowers customers. She stated that travellers are increasingly seeking predictability, especially around peak travel periods when fares can be most volatile.

'WIZZ MultiPass gives UK passengers the opportunity to fix their flight costs for an entire year, whether they are commuting regularly or planning multiple holidays,' Gonzalez explained. 'It is fundamentally about giving customers more control over their travel budget.'

Distinction from Other Offers

The WIZZ Multipass is distinct from other promotions offered by the airline. For instance, the WIZZ All You Can Fly option allows members to take an extensive number of flights across the airline's entire network for a recurring booking fee of £8.64.

However, a significant limitation of that offer is that travellers can only choose from available destinations between 72 hours and three hours before the scheduled departure time. The Multipass, with its requirement for five-day advance booking, offers greater planning certainty for a fixed, predictable cost.

The relaunch of this subscription model represents a strategic move by Wizz Air to cater to a growing segment of travellers who value budget stability and forward planning over spontaneous, last-minute travel deals.
