Windrush Line suspended after fire near track in Bermondsey

The London Overground's Windrush line will be closed until at least 11:00am today after the service was disrupted by a major fire near the line, National Rail have announced.

Fire at Bermondsey waste facility

News of the closure comes after the London Fire Brigade deployed 15 fire engines and around 100 firefighters to tackle a massive blaze at a waste facility in Bermondsey on Tuesday evening.

The fire involved 50 tonnes of household waste and has "severely damaged" the recycling facility, according to the BBC.
