King's Cross delays ease after person hit by train
Delays on rail services from King's Cross are easing after a person was hit by a train. All lines between London King's Cross and Stevenage have reopened following the incident, but services may still be delayed by up to 60 minutes, revised or cancelled. Major disruption is expected until 5pm. Operators affected include Thameslink, Lumo, LNER and Grand Central Rail. Passengers are advised to allow at least 45 minutes extra to complete their journey and should check journey planners before travelling.
Second incident on South Western Railway
A second person has been hit by a train between Farnborough Main and Woking. All lines between these stations are closed while emergency services carry out their work. Trains may be cancelled, delayed by up to 15 minutes or revised, with disruption expected until 7pm. South Western Railway services between Exeter St Davids and London Waterloo are disrupted, and replacement buses are being arranged between Woking and Weymouth. Passengers are advised to use Great Western Railway or CrossCountry services on alternative routes.
Other London travel disruptions
The Windrush line Overground service is partially suspended between Surrey Quays and New Cross following a fire at a waste facility in Deptford earlier this week. Severe delays are reported on the Mildmay line between Willesden Junction and Richmond, with minor delays on the rest of the line due to train cancellations. Minor delays affect the Elizabeth line between Paddington and Reading due to a signal failure in the Slough area, the Hammersmith and City line due to train cancellations, and the Central line due to a points failure at White City.
