Scotland close out their international window this evening when Slovenia visit Hampden Park in the Nations League.
Sebastien Pocognoli's first campaign in charge of the Scottish national side has brought mixed results: a 0-0 draw with tonight's opponents in the first meeting, followed by a 3-0 defeat to Switzerland and a 2-0 away victory in North Macedonia.
Group B1 standings
Scotland now sit third in Nations League Group B1, behind Slovenia on goal difference. Back-to-back wins would be significant for the new manager ahead of the November internationals, with North Macedonia visiting Glasgow and a trip to St Gallen to face the Swiss on the cards.
Kick-off time and TV coverage
The match gets under way at 7.45pm on Tuesday, October 6, at Hampden Park, Glasgow. It will be shown live and free on BBC2 and BBC Scotland, with coverage starting at 7.30pm. The match will also be streamed via BBC iPlayer and on the BBC website.
Manager quotes
Pocognoli said: "We create more chances, so that's a positive with the new group of players with totally new principle. Tomorrow I just hope we keep creating chances. The reality is we have to win tomorrow and score goals."
He added: "We face a team with a clear structure. They have good movement and good connection between the players and they did well against Switzerland."
Slovenia boss Bostjan Cesar said: "The way Scotland play, we need to be very disciplined and we need to have a fantastic 90 minutes to match them. We need to find a balance with our attack and defence, we need to be together defending our goal and we need to be successful in attack."
He continued: "That's our wish and, if we are lucky, maybe we'll succeed. But the defence has to be strong. This match is very important to us, but of course there are more matches to play and we want to keep in the competition as long as we can."
