Piccadilly line suspended after signal failure at Boston Manor

The Piccadilly line is currently part suspended following a signal failure at Boston Manor. There is no service on the line between Acton Town and Heathrow Terminals.

Disruption on other lines

Elsewhere, an earlier fault with the signalling system between Clapham Junction and Watford Junction has caused disruption to London Northwestern and Southern services this afternoon. It comes after commuters faced major disruption on the Elizabeth line over morning rush hour, with trains being suspended between Paddington and Reading / Heathrow due to late-finishing engineering works.

Tickets are being accepted on London Buses, Elizabeth Line and South Western Railway for the Piccadilly line suspension. There is good service on the rest of the line.

The Elizabeth line has now reopened following the late finish of engineering work today. While service recovers, the line is running with severe delays between Paddington and Heathrow Airport & Reading. The London underground, Great Western Railway and South Western Railway are accepting tickets via any reasonable route.

There are minor delays on the District line between Tower Hill and Ealing Broadway, Richmond, and Wimbledon due to an earlier faulty train at Monument. There is a good service on the rest of the line.

There are minor delays on the DLR between Woolwich Arsenal and Canning Town due to an earlier faulty train at London City Airport. There is a good service on the rest of the line.

There is a speed restriction in place over defective track between Welwyn Garden City and Potters Bar, causing delays on some Great Northern and Thameslink trains towards London.

There will be no service all day today on London Trams both eastbound between Wandle Park and Centrale and westbound between Church Street and Wandle Park.

Overrunning engineering works between West Ealing and Greenford mean that all lines are currently blocked, with all trains cancelled until at least 7.30am.

There are severe delays on the Victoria line, and minor delays on the District line between Earl's Court and Wimbledon & Ealing Broadway, due to train cancellations. There is a good service on the rest of the underground network at the moment.
