Private Swedish railway operator Snälltåget has announced the launch of a new direct daytime train service that will connect three major Scandinavian cities: Malmö, Gothenburg, and Oslo. This innovative route is set to commence operations on 15 June, offering travellers a convenient and affordable way to traverse the region.

Journey Details and Schedule

The train journey will take approximately six and a half hours, providing a scenic and efficient link between Sweden and Norway. The service will run daily, with departures from Malmö scheduled for 6.38 am, except on Sundays when it leaves at 7.05 am. Arrival in Oslo is expected at 1.16 pm, allowing passengers to make the most of their day. Return services will operate in the afternoon, ensuring flexibility for round trips.

Affordable Pricing and Onboard Amenities

Tickets for this new route start from just 149 Swedish krona, which is roughly equivalent to £12.20, making it an economical choice for both leisure and business travellers.
