Monklands motorists warned of three road closures for patching

Motorists in Monklands are being advised to take note of diversions and plan ahead after three road closures were announced for carriageway patching.

Culzean Avenue closure in Coatbridge

Culzean Avenue in Coatbridge will be shut for 24 hours from August 27 for carriageway patching. The closure will run between outside properties 22 and 26, and Nelson Avenue, Cuparhead Avenue, Appin Way and Lismore Drive will be available as alternative routes.

Baillies Lane and Kirkness Street closures

Carriageway patching will also see a 24-hour closure of Baillies Lane, Airdrie, between the A89 Graham Street and Hallcraig Street, from August 30. Motorists will be able to use Hallcraig Street, Flowerhill Street, Drumbathie Road, Springwells Avenue and the A89 Clark Street and Graham Street as diversions.

Kirkness Street in Airdrie will be affected by a five-day closure for carriageway patching from September 14, from its junction with the B8053 Bore Road and its junction with Milton Street. The B8053 Bore Road, Frew Street and Waddell Street will act as diverted routes for drivers during the closure.
