A crash on the M6 northbound near Warrington is causing long delays this afternoon (June 25), with drivers facing 70-minute hold-ups and six miles of queues.
Crash Details and Emergency Response
National Highways North-West announced on X just before 3pm that traffic on the M6 northbound had been stopped between junction 20 at the Lymm Interchange and junction 21 at Manchester Road in Woolston. Emergency services are at the scene, and one lane has been closed, according to traffic monitoring service Inrix.
A Cheshire Police spokesperson told the Liverpool ECHO that the crash involved two cars and no-one is believed to have been seriously injured.
Impact on Traffic
Drivers are advised to expect delays of approximately 70 minutes and six miles of congestion on the approach to the incident. The closure is affecting northbound traffic between junctions 19 and 21, with long queues building up.
