M4 closures: Four nights of disruption for Wales drivers

Drivers have been warned of disruption on the M4 from Monday as a number of works are carried out. The affected areas include Coryton, Llangyfelach, Penllergaer, Grove Park and Malpas. A lengthy closure is also planned northbound on the A4054 Merthyr Road.

M4 westbound closures

At junction 32 Coryton, structural inspections will take place from August 17 to August 18, with the entry slip road closed from 10pm until 6am. At junction 46 Llangyfelach to junction 47 Penllergaer, carriageway maintenance will close the road with diversions in place from August 20 to August 21, between 8pm and 6am.

M4 eastbound and northbound closures

On the eastbound carriageway, junction 25A Grove Park will see carriageway maintenance from August 17 to August 22, with the entry slip road closed from 8pm until 6am. Junction 26 Malpas will also have carriageway maintenance from August 17 to August 22, with the onslip road closed during the same hours.

Northbound on the A4054 Merthyr Road, a total closure will be in place from Birch Hill to Taffs Wells roundabout, with diversions in operation. This closure runs from August 17 to September 7, from 8pm until 6am.
