Drunk Ryanair Passenger Forces Bristol Flight to Circle Airport
Intoxicated passenger disrupts Ryanair flight to Bristol

A flight from Kraków to Bristol was thrown into chaos when an intoxicated British passenger refused to sit down for landing, forcing the pilot to circle the airport and leading to a physical struggle with police.

Mid-Air Chaos Unfolds

The incident occurred on November 11, 2025, on a Ryanair service returning to the UK. Footage captured by fellow passenger Kacper Bujak shows the man swearing, arguing aggressively with cabin crew, and physically fighting security staff who attempted to restrain him. At one point, the disruptive traveller turned to Bujak and provocatively stuck his middle finger up at him.

According to Bujak, this was not the man's first incident. The same passenger had allegedly caused havoc on a flight the previous Sunday, drinking heavily, swearing, and behaving inappropriately towards a young woman seated near him. He had also caused a disturbance at border control upon arrival in Kraków.

Behaviour Spirals Out of Control

On the return journey, the man initially appeared calmer and even greeted Bujak, asking, 'Do you remember me?' However, after consuming alcohol on board, his behaviour quickly deteriorated. Passengers pleaded with him to quieten down, citing the presence of children on the flight, which only sparked further arguments.

As the aircraft prepared to land, the situation reached a critical point. The man refused repeated orders to sit down, a fundamental safety requirement. This defiance forced the pilot to abandon the landing approach and circle the airport instead.

The video footage shows the row escalating as the man grows increasingly irate, branding the officers attempting to cuff him as 'scumbags' and shouting that they were 'bang out of order'.

Aftermath and Wider Concerns

'The man was loud most of the time,' Bujak stated. 'As soon as he had a drink, he started his mischief and acting up.' While the video ends as passengers disembark, Bujak reported that police spent more than an hour removing the man from the aircraft. This lengthy delay subsequently pushed back the plane's next scheduled departure back to Kraków.

This event echoes a similar incident last year, where a flight from Manchester to Ibiza was diverted to Toulouse. On that occasion, a drunk British passenger reportedly downed duty-free vodka, assaulted a crew member, and spat at other passengers before he and his wife were forcibly removed from the aircraft.
