FlixBus Adds Eight New Routes for Easter Travel Across UK

FlixBus, the long-distance coach operator, has announced a significant expansion of its UK services just in time for the Easter holiday period. The company is launching eight new routes, which will increase its network to cover over 100 towns and cities across the country for the first time.

New Destinations and Promotional Offers

Starting from 1 April, FlixBus will begin operations in several key locations, including Doncaster, Blackpool, Halifax, Huddersfield, and Milton Keynes. To celebrate its fifth anniversary of UK operations, the company is offering promotional fares with tickets priced under £5, starting as low as £4.49 for all new destinations.

These discounted tickets are available for booking until 30 April 2026, for travel between 13 April and 30 June 2026. This move aims to make coach travel more accessible and affordable for passengers during the busy Easter break.

Enhanced Airport Connections

FlixBus is also bolstering its airport connectivity with new daily services. Routes between York, Heathrow Airport, and central London will commence, along with additional connections such as Brighton to Heathrow, and Gatwick Airport to Leeds and Sheffield.

Further shuttle services have been established, linking Manchester Airport with Newcastle, Sunderland, Middlesbrough, Leeds, Huddersfield, and Bradford. New connections from Bristol Airport to Plymouth, Taunton, Cheltenham, and Exeter are also being introduced, as well as routes from Leicester and Nottingham to both Plymouth and Bristol.

Future Expansion Plans

Looking ahead, FlixBus plans to launch another series of new destinations in May 2026. This will include adding Colchester, Chelmsford, and Ipswich to its network, along with more direct connections from Birmingham Airport to London and Oxford.

Services in East Anglia will be enhanced with new routes between Norwich and Heathrow, as well as connections to Birmingham and Plymouth, providing greater travel options for passengers in the region.

Company Statement and Vision

Sarah Bartlett, PR Lead for FlixBus UK, commented on the expansion: "Five years ago, we set out with a bold ambition to revolutionise coach travel, and with a network of over 100 destinations, it's clear passengers have fallen in love with FlixBus."

She added: "We're offering tickets for less than a fiver to bring even more joy to travellers using our affordable, comfortable, and reliable services." This statement underscores the company's commitment to providing cost-effective and dependable travel solutions across the UK.

The expansion reflects FlixBus's ongoing efforts to grow its presence in the competitive coach travel market, offering passengers more choices and convenience for both leisure and business trips.
