A section of the A1 remains closed in County Durham following a collision in the early hours of the morning. Durham Constabulary has closed the road in both directions between J60 Bradbury and J61 Bowburn.
Police statement on closure
In a statement shared at 3.15am, a spokesperson for Durham Constabulary said: "Due to a Road Closure following an RTC, the A1 is closed between J60 Bradbury & J61 Bowburn. Please find an alternative route. The A1 is already closed on the Southbound between J63 - J61 for Road Works."
