Wizz Air has introduced new flights to Málaga, one of Europe's sunniest cities, with fares starting from £26.99 and winter temperatures reaching up to 20C.
New routes to Spain's Costa del Sol
The budget airline is expanding its Spanish network with flights to the coastal city of Málaga, the capital of the Costa del Sol in Andalusia. The city enjoys more than 300 days of Mediterranean sunshine each year, making it one of the sunniest destinations in Europe.
Visitors can explore the charming Old Town, relax on golden beaches, savour tapas along the waterfront, or visit one of more than 30 museums. In November, temperatures can reach up to 20C, and in December the city hosts its famous Christmas light display on Calle Larios, alongside festive markets.
Flight details and additional destinations
Flights to Spain's sixth-largest city depart from London Luton four times a week, with the first route taking off on Thursday 22 October. The journey to Málaga takes just over three hours.
Wizz Air has also launched routes to Granada and Oviedo. Granada, in southern Andalusia, is known for its mountain scenery, Moorish district, medieval architecture, and free tapas culture. Oviedo, in the Asturias region, offers a historic Old Town, traditional markets, and a Gothic cathedral.
More winter sun options
Flights to Granada depart from London Luton twice a week, with fares from £28.99 and a journey time of 2 hours and 45 minutes. Flights to Asturias (Oviedo) depart three times a week, also with fares from £28.99 and a journey time of less than two hours.
Yvonne Moynihan, Managing Director at Wizz Air UK, said: "Spain has always been a favourite with British holidaymakers, but there's so much more to the country than a summer beach holiday. With three new routes launching from London Luton over the next week, we're giving our customers even more choice when it comes to exploring Spain, whatever the time of year."
She added: "From winter sunshine in Málaga, and tapas in Granada, to skiing in the Sierra Nevada or discovering the beautiful coastline of Asturias, these destinations show just how much Spain has to offer beyond the summer months. With fares starting from less than £30, we're continuing to grow our UK network and making it easier for more people to discover somewhere new without spending a fortune."
