Virgin Atlantic Crew Member Killed in St Lucia Road Accident

A Virgin Atlantic cabin crew member from Southampton has died after being struck by an SUV in St Lucia.

Quinton Garrathy, 38, was hit while walking near the Gros Islet Highway close to the Rodney Bay Marina. He was taken to Victoria Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The Royal Saint Lucia Police Force confirmed Mr Garrathy was on holiday at the time. A post-mortem examination is to be carried out.

Mr Garrathy worked for Virgin Atlantic alongside his wife Naomi. A spokeswoman for the airline said: “This is a very difficult time for the crew member’s family and our heartfelt condolences go out to all who knew him. Quinton will be missed by all his friends and colleagues at Virgin Atlantic who are deeply saddened by this news.”
