A unique Airbnb shaped like a UFO has landed in Pembrokeshire, Wales, complete with a toilet styled as a TARDIS from Doctor Who. The Spodnic UFO, located at the Melin Mabes glamping site near Templeton, offers guests a sci-fi themed stay in the countryside.
The fibreglass pod was originally built for the 2012 London Olympics to house generators, before being bought on eBay and transformed into a quirky holiday let. Inside, it features silver walls, sci-fi memorabilia, a double bed, bunk beds for four guests, and an inflatable alien. A ladder leads to a platform with a glass dome, where guests can use a telescope for stargazing.
Outside, there is a covered kitchen area with a fridge, cooker, and running water, as well as a table and chairs. The highlight is the bathroom, housed in a replica TARDIS box, complete with a private shower, toilet, and sink. A private hot tub and outdoor shower are also available, and the enclosed space is pet-friendly.
The site is a few minutes from Templeton, which has a pub and cottages. Nearby attractions include Folly Farm Adventure Park and Zoo, offering fairground rides, a zoo, and adventure activities. Saundersfoot Beach, a Blue Flag beach with shallow waters and a working harbour, is a 15-minute drive away.
