The Ivy Christmas pop-up opens at former Glasgow site

The Ivy Christmas, a festive walk-in pop-up, will open at the former The Ivy restaurant on Glasgow's Buchanan Street on Wednesday, November 4 at 7:30pm, transforming the space into a luxurious Christmas wonderland.

The former restaurant, which served its final customers on Sunday, October 4, will reopen as a seasonal experience featuring installations, festive drinks, Scottish-inspired dishes and live entertainment. The pop-up runs daily from 12pm to 10pm until Thursday, December 31, with guests welcomed on a walk-in basis and no reservations required.

Festive Transformation and Menu

The entrance will be revamped into a grotto-style setting with foliage, twinkling lights and statement decorations, while inside the venue will feature Christmas trees, cascading garlands and rich seasonal foliage.

The drinks menu includes The Ivy's Mulled Wine with orange, cinnamon and winter spices, a Mulled Guinness with orange and blackcurrant, and a range of festive cocktails. The food menu highlights Scottish provenance, with ingredients such as Lathallan haggis, Peterhead haddock, Isle of Mull Cheddar and smoked Ayrshire bacon.

Live Entertainment Programme

Signature dishes include Oatmeal-rolled Lathallan Haggis Bon-Bons, Truffle Arancini with Raclette Cheese Fondue, and a Wagyu Smash Burger, with the Cranachan Bombe available for dessert. From Thursday to Sunday, 7pm to 10pm, a programme of live music will feature performances by local artists including Three 'n' Easy, Judy and the Jaywalkers and Juke the Box.

General manager Clare Johnstone said: "As The Ivy Glasgow Brasserie takes up its new residence on St Vincent Place, we saw a wonderful opportunity to reimagine our Buchanan Street space and create something truly special for the festive season."

Johnstone added: "We hope The Ivy Christmas on Buchanan Street will become one of Glasgow's must-visit destinations this Christmas, bringing people together to enjoy the magic of the season."
