Many people look forward to a leisurely boat ride while on holiday, but one woman got more than she bargained for when her husband booked a 'scenic boat ride' during their trip to New Zealand.
George and Crissa Prieto, an 'adventure travel couple' with over 642,000 Instagram followers, shared a video of the surprise. Crissa expected a calm cruise but instead found herself boarding a shark-shaped jet boat on Lake Wakatipu in Queenstown.
The video shows Crissa's initial excitement turning to apprehension as the boat speeds across the water, diving and leaping up to 15 feet in the air. However, she soon embraced the thrill, smiling at the camera.
The experience costs $125 NZD (£54) per person for a 15-minute ride, with a trained pilot at the helm. Crissa described it as 'one of the most adrenaline-filled experiences in New Zealand' and 'a unique bucket list experience'.
