Queen Mary 2 to mark 500th transatlantic crossing with Liverpool stop
Queen Mary 2 500th transatlantic crossing Liverpool 2029

Cunard's Queen Mary 2 will mark its 500th transatlantic crossing in May 2029, and passengers will be able to board the ship from Liverpool for the first time since 2015.

The luxury cruise ship will set off on a round trip voyage from New York, with a stop in Liverpool where passengers can join. Two options will be available from the city: a 7-night transatlantic leg from Liverpool to New York, or a 14-night leg from Liverpool to Southampton that includes a stop in New York City.

Historic Return to Liverpool

This will be the first time since 2015 that guests can join one of the cruise line's transatlantic sailings from Liverpool. Paul Ludlow, Cunard's President, said: "Queen Mary 2's landmark 500th Transatlantic Crossing will be one of the most significant moments in Cunard's modern history, reconnecting Liverpool with our iconic Transatlantic service."

Liverpool is not the only additional port where passengers can board the ship; Southampton and Hamburg will also be included in the offering.

Booking Details and Pricing

Bookings have already opened on the Cunard website, with prices from £2,159 per person based on two people sharing an Inside Stateroom. The cruise line is currently offering a 10% 'Early Booking Saving' for new bookings made before December 30, 2026, which applies when booking a Cunard Early Saver Fare or Cunard Fare.
