Mum Returns From Supermarket With Unexpected Kitten After 3 Hours

A mother who told her family she was popping out for a quick grocery run returned home three hours later with an unexpected addition to the household. Instead of the planned milk and bread, she brought back a tiny black kitten she had found on the way to the supermarket.

The woman's daughter shared the story on Reddit, recounting how after nearly three hours, she began to worry the store must have been packed. When the door finally opened, her mother was holding a small black kitten as if it were the most normal thing in the world.

The kitten had been spotted alone by a fence en route to the supermarket. The mother searched the area for the mother cat, checking bushes and asking neighbours, but to no avail. She then took the kitten to the vet before coming home, concerned something might be wrong.

The vet confirmed the kitten was completely healthy, with no microchip and no injuries, just very hungry. The daughter said: 'We now have a tiny blue-eyed void sleeping on our couch, and I don’t think anyone’s complaining.'

The kitten, which is small, curious and cuddly, still does not have a name. The family has asked for suggestions online, with one user jokingly suggesting 'Groceries' as a fitting name, while another proposed 'Coupon' because the mother is a good shopper.
